Most of today's refurbished typewriters were made pre-2000. Not so with the Royal Scriptor--a new typewriter made by an old, familiar typewriter manufacturer. The Royal Scriptor and Scriptor II were made post 2020--although I can't find an exact date to correlate with the serial numbers.
The Royal Scriptor electric typewriter doesn't have a whole lot of bells and whistles. This makes sense, because anyone who would need the bells and whistles would probably do just as well to use a computer instead of a typewriter. Most of the people using electric typewriters now, simply need to be able to type--not save, not erase, not automatically adjust margins.
But the Royal Scriptor does have an erase function. It's there if you need it. You can also easily set margins, and use tabs to create columns.
Call me and set up an appointment to have a complete demo and a crash-course on how these manual typewriters work.
